Get Ready for the National 4X4 Outdoors Show

Editorial Team — 3 March 2022

Featuring 45,000 square metres of outdoor display space, including two big stages, an action and entertainment arena, a brand-new camping and outdoors stage, and an interactive campsite experience, the Brisbane National 4x4 Outdoors Show is sure to satisfy the needs of Australian camping and 4WD enthusiasts.

According to event organiser Jon, this year is likely to see huge crowds. “Holidaying at home is still a major trend, even though international borders are open, and so I don't see any let up in the huge demand for camping and 4x4 products. We’re expecting a big crowd,” he said.

With more and more Australians opting for the camping experience, Hema Maps is delivering some important presentations to answer questions about the 4WDing lifestyle.

The ‘Hema U Program’ live from the Brissy 4x4 Show will take place on Friday 18 March (11am) and Saturday 19 March (12 noon). The winners of the most recent Camper Trailer of the Year (CTOTY)  will be highlighted on Saturday 19 March from 1:30–2:00. CTOTY has grown to become Australia’s most respected camper trailer competition, providing independent assessments of camper trailers available in the Australian market.

As part of CTOTY, four experienced judges assess campers on a ten-point system. There are numerous categories, including folding campers, hybrids, build quality, innovation, value for money and self-sufficiency.

Saturday 19 March (11am) and Sunday 20 March (10am) will also feature a presentation on ‘How to select a camper trailer that is right for you’, which will be suitable for experienced and new campers alike. You can find Hema on the Lower Level, RICC (Royal International Convention Centre) building, stand 415. Make sure you pop in and say hello!

There will be loads of bargains up for grabs, plenty of prizes on offer, and presentations on the Outback Stage by exclusive special guests including Pat Callinan (Mr 4X4), Graham and Shauno (4WD 24-7), Jase and Simon (All 4 Adventure) and many more.

Following the success of last year’s near sell-out event, ticket sales will continue exclusively online, and are sold for dedicated entry times on each of the three days of the event. To buy tickets, visit the site and use the code CTOTY to save 15 per cent off your ticket.

The Brisbane Showgrounds are located at 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, Brisbane, and the gates are open from 8am-6pm on Friday 18 March, 8am–6pm on Saturday 19 March and 8am–5pm on Sunday 20 March.
